Hey Ho, I’ve been putting in long hours at the office curating new notes to play on Christmas songs. We’re scheduled to play four concerts in December surfing on our Vince Guaraldi / Charlie Brown repertoire and I decided to add some new songs into the mix. It takes a long time to navigate who will play what — there’s seven of us and that makes for semi infinite possibilities. I think the tunes came out nicely and we’re getting together tomorrow for our first rehearsal, so we’ll see and hear it then.
Look below for concert details and it’d be fun to have you there…

It was back in 2013 that our band Road Work Ahead had just released an album called “Intersection” and we were off to the races. This vid captures a night when we played at The Merc in Temecula.
The song is composed by Jim Plank and he fills everyone in on the tune’s backstory. Well worth hearing.
The band is swinging from the start and Bill’s piano solo ends up with him singing and making up lyrics on the spot. Funny night at the opera!
Here’s the band:
Peter Sprague — guitar
Bill Mays — piano
Bob Magnusson — bass
Jim Plank — drums
This song is on our album “Intersection” available on all streaming platforms and on my webstore: https://www.store.petersprague.com/categories/intersection-road-work-ahead-category
