Semi Unrealistic Time Predictions…

Greetings Friends!

Coming to you from the confines of SpragueLand and I’m still plugging away at the Concerto. Wow, as usual, it’s taking way longer than I expected. So many details but I’m having a great time and I’m digging the way it’s coming out. Onwards and upwards and I’ll share it with you when it’s complete.

We’re launching out LIVE this week on 6/26 and we’ll be at the beautiful San Diego Botanic Gardens in Encinitas. We set up our gear at the outdoor amphitheater and it fashions one of the most stunning green plant backgrounds from all around. We’re playing The Beatles, Cole Porter, Jimmy Webb, and Chuck Berry with Rebecca on vocals, Tripp on sax and flute, Danny on piano, Mack on bass, Duncan on drums, and me. Look below for the details and we hope to see you there…

The vid release for this week is our version of Dave Grusin’s composition “Hurricane Country.”

I think this is one of Dave’s most beautiful melodies. On his version he has Dori Caymmi singing a wordless vocal and for ours we’ve got brother Tripp emoting on the tenor sax. Tropical beauty capturing the vibe of the Bahamas during serene moments.

This performance is from a livestream concert that we played in September 2024.

“Hurricane Country” is on this album:
