Is this twisted missive even coming from me or does some lurking AI have a more accurate take on all things SpragueMan?
And what’s the big gain of impersonating this old man guitar slinger in the first place? Free picks? Hah!
This ai situation isn’t exactly here just yet but it’s seemingly heading this way.
So, this seems like the perfect time to let loose and launch my new recording project “Anti AI.”
It’s not that I’m anti-ai, it’s just that this phrase could also represent “old school” and this most accurately describes the new batch of songs that I’ve composed — straight ahead jazz, bebop, swinging out of the gate, far afield from the realms of elaborate coding manifestos.
We gathered the troops, practiced the lines a few times, rejoiced in 2 page charts (versus my usual 9 page scores), and gave the songs a whirl.

We’re playing live this week on Friday in La Jolla. The concert takes place at the La Jolla Community Center which has great sound and an intimate setup. Add in the music of Jobim and The Beatles and the potential for a good evening of sound is running high. Hope to see you there!
