When I call you up, your line’s engaged! So said Paul and we’re believing in him one hundred percent. Heck he’s a Beatle and in our loop that puts him right up there with Coltrane, Miles, Gandhi, and Ted Lasso. Hah!
It’s been full Beatles immersion over here in Encinitas with first a rundown of the setlist, next a private concert for some enthusiastic oldsters, and leading up to this week’s afternoon performance at the Coronado Library on Friday afternoon. Can you break free to hear “You Won’t See Me,” “You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away,” and “Norwegian Wood” among others? All songs guaranteed to come off in a new way from the originals plus you’re free to yell out “you’ve gone too far” if the jazz harmonization hits you in a sour fashion. Good times in Coronado all the way around.
