Friends! The story right now from my office with all of the windows open is thermometer maximus. It’s just how I like it and it’ll be short lived as tomorrow I’m driving out to Rancho Mirage for a freaky fahrenheit 116 music session. Burn the jazz house down! I love it!
I’ve been on some cool adventures featuring the east coast with a new joyful discovery of Rockport, Massachusetts. From there we made our way into NYC for a night and I started walking and ended up in a whirlwind of beautiful flags at Rockefeller Center. Then for my first time we went and played a show on Long Island in the Hamptons. Fancy dancy folks and a great night of music with Dianne and the gang. Right before we launched into the set, me and few band mates had to check out the ocean to see how things curl in the Hamptons. Then I JetBlued it back to the west and immediately waxed up my surfboard and dipped into the wild blue to equalize all of the TSA residue buildup in search for a balanced life. It worked! Next our daughter Kylie checked in with the good news from Yosemite complete with vertical mega waterfalls. She’s having a good summer up there! And since then I’ve been connecting every cable I own mixed in with tripods, effects boxes, and a sky blue backdrop with the end goal of coming up with a new video series and solo guitar recording. It’s cooking along and I’ll have more news in a couple of weeks. It’s a good time! And starting tomorrow we’ve got a little west coast action with live music. First up, Leonard and I will play a show in Rancho Mirage on Thursday night at the Coachella Valley Repertory Theatre. I’m sure they’ll have the air conditioning kicking in and still, the music ought to cook! Bassist Bill Saita and drummer Jeff Olson join us for the 2nd set. Big fun and look below for the details. And then the next day (Friday) we drive back to Cardiff for a PS and Leonard hit at ZENBU – Sushi Bar, Restaurant, and Cocktails. It’s our first time there and I’m told it’s fantastic food and a neat scene for music. Hope to see you in the mix! Saturday finds Leonard and I in Vista at a cool House Concert. Here too, this is our first time with these folks. They seem super nice and are setting up things mighty fine for music and camaraderie. You’re all invited and look below for the contact info to make it happen. The week rounds the bend into Monday night of which me and the gang of merry pranksters (aka the band) drive off to Laguna to be part of the Festival of the Arts. This is a big deal up there and an amazing scene of art and music, food too I’ll bet. We’re thrilled to be included and promise to play to the best of our abilities. We’re even rehearsing the band on Sunday to prep it up. It’ll be Tripp, Justin, Duncan, and I turning up the volume in Laguna. Come and join us if you can! There it is folks and thanks for reading through. Happy trails and happy summer to ‘ya, Peter |
