Greetings Solid Citizens of Music!
The sun is out, the Santa Ana winds are blowing and it’s a good day for music.
I’m practicing up because it’s heating up on all fronts. Yes, the live streaming business is still cooking over here at SpragueLand (look for the upcoming “Watercolors” Pat Metheny show in 2 weeks) but the added attraction is the appearance of live in person gigs.
A few days back we played a fun hit at The Athenaeum in La Jolla and coming up this week we’ll be picking and strumming at Ki’s Restaurant in Cardiff. And then right around the bend we’ll be concertizing at the San Diego Library and a Brasil Festa concert at Dizzy’s.
And they thought March Madness was just reserved for basketball…
Look below for the upcoming music event details.
One last thought for this week’s gig email:
Over the last couple of months pianist Luca Jarcaruso has been recording here at SpragueLand working on a solo piano album. Luca grew up in Idyllwild studying at the Idyllwild Arts Academy and now lives in Temecula. He likes flying in gliders too. Wild!
I think he has a unique angle on playing solo piano — cool textures, great chord progressions, playing all of his own compositions, and a beautiful singing voice too. What a gift this young fellow possesses.
The album is complete and ready for the world to have a listen. Travel here for the sonic adventure. I think you’ll dig it.
That’s it for now folks and thanks for reading along, best, Peter
