Humidity Makes Music Even Sweeter!

Hola Summer Friends!

Wishing you good times in the land of sun and first up, here’s a new single song video that I put together:

This is our version of the wonderful Beatles classic “Norwegian Wood.” Everybody’s explored this song and now it’s our turn. Tempo modulations, poly chords, solo changes, all the ingredients to potentially destroy a song but if in proper balance, possible magic is at play. Have a listen and see if we got it right.

Allison is with us on vocals and sounding good!

Peter Sprague — guitar
Allison Adams Tucker — vocals
John Opferkuch — piano
Tripp Sprague — sax
Justin Grinnell — bass
Duncan Moore — drums

We’re playing a live show next week on Monday night at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Point Loma. It’ll be me, Tripp, Danny Green, and Justin Grinnell on bass. It’s free and held outside in their amphitheater. Come and soak up the sound and feel the warm ocean breeze, a magic combo that only comes together in the summer.

Look for details down below.

Next week, some of my long time growing up in Del Mar friends are coming to town as they always do every summer. It’s Bryant Allard, Steve Feierabend, and Bim Strasburg and they are going to record for two days at my studio. What a joy and added into the wonderful coming back to home vibe, they are playing a live show at Tio Leo’s on Sunday. They have a cool band and they’re composing some new music for the occasion. Check them out!

that’s it for now folks and many thanks, Peter
