Dear Summer Readers,
SpragueLand is alive with the sound of Whitney.
Wild that we’re leaning that way this week but check it out…
We are thrilled to reconnect with Rebecca Jade once again. After year’s of concerts together there’s been a shortage of her amazing sound and vibe over here and this is due to the fact that she’s gone and gotten famous on us. Hah! It’s all great and she’s been touring the world with Dave Koz and Eric Darius plus doing her own shows of original music.
But for tomorrow night she’s all ours and it’ll be great music over here at SpragueLand.
One of both me and Rebecca’s favorite artist is Whitney Houston. You probably heard Whitney sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl XXV back in 1991 and it very well may be the ultimate performance of that song. There’s a lot more where that came from and for our livestream tomorrow night we’ll explore a few of our favorite Whitney songs.
Looking towards the horizon Rebecca and I plan to do a whole album of jazzified Whitney.
Filling out the program will be songs from Metheny, Cole Porter, The Beatles, and even Frankie Valli.
The band includes some of the best with:
Peter Sprague — guitar
Rebecca Jade — vocal
Tripp Sprague — sax and flute
Danny Green – piano
Mack Leighton — bass
Duncan Moore — drums
It’ll be fun and I sure hope you can tune in.
all best, Peter
