Hawaii’s Here!

Good People, hot, hot, hot! No need now to move to Hawaii, Hawaii’s here! I’m loving it and it all helps when you live near the coast, spend most of the time wearing shorts and no shirt, and those times that you’re not doing that you’re floating in the wild blue collecting little peaky wavelets gazing at the psychedelic tropical clouds moving ever so slowing by. It’s a great recipe for a relaxed life and it’s how we like to roll in SoCal if we can pull it off. Currently thrilled to be pulling it off!

Last week we had a chance to play at the newly updated Howard Brubeck Theater at Palomar College. Heavens it’s a great place with superior sound and beautiful warm wood appointments throughout. Stoke to have a new place to share in the magic of music and bravo to all of those in corporate positions for steering some dough into the vicinity of the performing arts. We had a wonderful concert with Gilbert on trumpet and Gunnar on bass and I’m crossing my fingers to get to play there again sometime this coming school year.

Up for this week, tomorrow brother Leonard and I play a midday hit at Mesa College as part of their ongoing music series. It’s always a classy moment there with full on listening, good sound, and anytime Leonard’s in the house is a good reason to celebrate being a muso and a professional music listener. Lets do it together and it’s free and open to the public too!

The wizardry of solo guitar improvisations continues on at the famous Roxy Restaurant in Encinitas on Thursday night! It’s all about tasty food, being part of the good life of North County, and soaking up some nylon string stories of yore and now. Hope to see you there!

that’s right! Peter
