Scott Robinson - percussion Guitarists Peter Sprague and Fred Benedetti join up with saxophonist Tripp Sprague and percussionist N. Scott Robinson to rekindle their musical collaboration called Blurring the Edges. The music combines elements of jazz, classical, flamenco, samba and the blues. The group recorded two CD's (Blurring the Edges, Sombra) and won Best Jazz Group in the 1994 San Diego Music Awards. "Sombra is more than just a musical mulligatawny. Instead it's a tasteful blend of melodies and rhythms dished up by musician's sharing the same interest in and enthusiasm for a program that opens with a samba, Samba Assad, and ending with the lilting La Gente Feliz.
