Flying Vids In the Great Algorithm of the Sky!

G reetings Friends of Sound!

Good times over here at SpragueLand with the wonderful blendo of live music, recording studio music, doggy walks, family dinners, surf safari’s, expensive gasoline, supreme rice and beans, and YouTube phenomena’s tearing it up at every turn.

I’m having fun and hopefully you too…

Coming up live this week on Saturday, me and the gang are zipping over to Carlsbad to play a show at Prager Brothers Artisian Breads. Do you know their breads? I’m an ultra fan and they have a shop in downtown Encinitas that is a regular stop for me when we’re out and about. One of the brothers is Clinton and he recorded at my studio a few years back (he’s also a musician) and he’s a delight on all fronts. They’re opening a new venue at their bakery and that’s where we’ll be stirring up the sounds. Come on out for the fun and look for the details below.

Today over at YouTube we’re letting a new vid fly free into the great algorithm of the sky. It’s our samba-ized version of Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You.” What a pretty song and it elevates even more with Rebecca Jade’s gorgeous vocal. Check out her scat at the end!

Also going on, on Saturday over at Mission Bay High School is a jazz master class with Natalie Cressman & Ian Faquini. Acclaimed duo trombonist singer Natalie Cressman and guitarist singer Ian Faquini are coming from the Bay Area this weekend to perform at Brasil Jazz Festa at Dizzy’s on Sunday, and Mission Bay High School is hosting a master class for them on Saturday 11 AM to 1 PM. They are fantastic musos and here are two links for more info:
