Beautifying the Airwaves With The Beatles!

Yes Friends of Sound,

As the title suggests, we’re heading out to the desert this week to share the good news of The Beatles, jazzified of course. It’ll be Wednesday evening at the Rancho Mirage Library and it’s a free concert. We’ve got Rebecca Jade singing, Tripp on the sax and flute, Danny Green on piano, Mack Leighton on bass, Duncan on drums, and me on the twin neck guitar. We’re on a Liverpoolian time warp and the Fab Four’s classics will be on full sonic display. Make the drive if you can and we understand if you can’t. Look way down below for the details…

For some live sounds closer to home, on this Sunday early evening, the fantastic Danish jazz vocalist Sinne Eeg is joining me and the gang for a concert at Tio Leo’s in San Diego near Moreno Boulevard. She’s really something and if you’ve had the good fortune to hear her in person you know what I’m talking about. And about Tio Leo’s, this spot for music is the real deal. Classic setup, great sound, and a full on listening audience.

Sinne lives in Denmark and has a wonderful career playing all over Europe and the United States. We’ve been playing together now for 10 years and some of the concerts we’ve played in Denmark are some of the my most cherished music moments.

Here’s a YouTube-ian sample. Check out her scat solo on this tune! Gorgeous tone and note choices, playing right into the heart of the chord changes. This is her original song and she’s singing in both Portuguese and English.

Look below for the details and we hope to see you there.

all best, Peter
