Blues Connotation
We took the band into the Oceanside KOCT televsion studios and played a few tunes. I'm on guitar along with Leonard Patton and Lisa Hightower on vocals, Gunnar Biggs on bass, and Duncan Moore on drums. "Blues Connotation" is an Ornette Coleman melody of which I've fashioned a lyric telling the story "free jazz and playing the blues the way you want". It features Leonard on lead vocals and solos by Lisa, Peter, Gunnar, and Duncan.

Weird Science, Modern Times
We took the band into the Oceanside KOCT televsion studios and played a few tunes. I'm on guitar along with Leonard Patton and Lisa Hightower on vocals, Gunnar Biggs on bass, and Duncan Moore on drums. "Weird Science, Modern Times" is a strange musical trip through some funk undercurrents with some wacked out lyrics hovering above. The song tells the story of all of the weirdness that goes down at our summer gigs at the Coyote Bar and Grill in Carlsbad. You might need a lyric sheet to get the whole picture.

Waters of March
This is a live video of Kevyn Lettau and myself playing a show at the old Hillcrest bookstore called Words and Music. A quasi-eccentric fellow named Victor ran the place and did a wonderful job putting on concerts and gathering an attentive and responsive audience. The year was 1990 and the Brazilian groove was flowing.

Yet another happening at Richard Carter's compound in inland Del Mar. The band is myself along with Tripp Sprague on soprano sax, a young David Curtis on bass, Danny Campbell on drums, Bongo Bob on percussion, and Dave Hampton on congas. We're playing a Chick Corea tune called Sidewalk. Pretty cool hypnotic groove!

Maui surfer Erik Aeder came to me with this 14 minute surf and water action film requesting some original jazz music to float behind the images. I wrote and recorded all of the music including the main title "Windlines". That's Kevyn Lettua singing and the rest of the Dance of the Universe band tearing it up.
