BopMod Landing at 98 Bottles!

Good Day Good People, it’s a happy time over here at SpragueLand and we just finished our rehearsal with Gilbert on trumpet, Tripp on sax and flute, Gunnar guiding the low end on bass, Duncan directing traffic on the drums and me on the guitar. The occasion—we’re gigging tomorrow night at 98 Bottles in San Diego and we needed to cull over the finer deets of the Bop Moderno songbook. We last left off a few months back when we did a SoCal run with the band and it’s a joy to get back together and swing it out. I’ve added two new tunes to the set list and I can’t wait for you to hear my blues-ish “Dream Walking” gliding along on a gut bucket shuffle. The contrast to that dittie is my quirky arrangement of “Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds”. This tune, out of the gate, already has some creative built in key changes and to that I’ve added some additional jazz damage. The Beatles rip!

There it is and look to my gig calendar for the fine print on the concert. 98 Bottles has good sound and a great vibe. Hope to see you there!

adios, Peter
